How Affiliate Links Work on Computer Multiverse
An affiliate link is a tracked URL that lets a retailer or program (such as Amazon Associates, Best Buy, B&H, Newegg, or manufacturer storefronts) know you arrived from our site. If you go on to buy the product — sometimes the exact model, sometimes anything else in the same shopping session — we receive a small percentage of the sale. The price you pay is exactly the same as if you went to the retailer directly.
What Affiliate Relationships Do NOT Influence
- Our editorial recommendations. We choose the best products based on testing, benchmarks, and real-world value. A product does not get recommended because it pays a higher commission rate.
- Our verdicts. If we test a product and it disappoints, we say so — even if we have an affiliate relationship with the retailer selling it.
- Our coverage decisions. No retailer or brand can buy a place in our “Best Of” lists, our reviews, or our news coverage.
How We Choose Retailers
When a product has multiple retailers carrying it, we typically link to the option that is most likely to be in stock, has the best price at the time of writing, and provides reliable customer service and return policies. Amazon is often the default for international audiences because it ships globally, but we link directly to manufacturer stores and specialty retailers when they offer a meaningfully better deal or selection.
Amazon Associates Statement
Computer Multiverse is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and its international properties (Amazon.ca, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, Amazon.it, Amazon.es, Amazon.com.au, etc.).
Display Advertising
In addition to affiliate links, we display advertising provided by Google AdSense and other ad networks. These advertisements are clearly labeled as ads and are served algorithmically based on the content of the page and (where applicable) user preferences. Ad revenue helps us keep our content free, but the placement and content of these ads is not editorial.
